Need your pond cleaned?

Ever seen Dirty Jobs on TV?  Pond cleaning should be one of them.

Pond Cleaning / Pond Clean Out / Spring Cleaning
A Pond clean out requires special pumps, hoses, tanks for your fish, not to mention you will need to keep your koi or goldfish alive after putting them back into the clean pond.  Unless you are willing to sacrifice a weekend of sweat & a round of golf, you probably need to consider a pond professional who specializes in pond & fish health service.

Here just a few things to consider when cleaning a pond.

1. Draining the clean pond water into a collapsible fish tank to acclimate the pond fish to the same temperature.

2. Removing the koi using a koi sock to keep from scuffing, removing scales, bruising or harming your koi.  Picking up large koi by hand can create internal injuries.

3. Clean the rocks or sides of the pond using a pressure washer.  (Where a rain suit to avoid staining clothing).

4.  Instead of rinsing the sides of the pond with a garden hose try using a larger volume of water by pumping the water from the bottom of the water garden through your pond pump.
