Using a timer to turn your pond off during the night is counterproductive because in the process you’ll lose oxidation in the water, kill off beneficial bacteria, and create all kinds of maintenance problems that you’re much better off without.The only time you want to turn your pump off is in the winter or when someone is performing substantial maintenance like a spring cleanout.
The only timer we suggest is the one that turns your underwater lights on and off when the sun goes down in the summertime. It will draw you out to the pond.
